MPO activity was significantly increased in DSS model, and decreased with cinacalcet treated. (*P<0.05, **P<0.01, ***P<0.001)
Y Chen et al investigate the protective effect of cinacalcet against colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium. Myeloperoxidase (MPO) peroxidation activity of mouse colon tissue was determined using MPO activity fluorometric assay kit (E-BC-F013).
It is recommended to take 2~3 samples with expected large difference to do pre-experiment before formal experiment and dilute the sample according to the result of the pre-experiment and the detection range (0.001 - 1.26 U/L).
The recommended dilution factor for different samples is as follows (for reference only):
Sample type |
Dilution factor |
Porcine serum |
5-10 |
Rabbit serum |
3-5 |
Rat serum |
2-5 |
Mouse serum |
10-20 |
Mouse plasma |
30-50 |
Horse serum |
2-5 |
10% Rat heart tissue homogenate |
1 |
10% Rat lung tissue homogenate |
1 |
Note: The diluent is reagent 1.
Sample: Lung Tissue |
